Robert Skeldon

I have taught PE in the UK and in Qatar for over 15 years throughout both Primary and Secondary education. This has provided me with the experience of teaching across all 4 key stages of the English National Curriculum.

I studied Sports Science at Crewe and Alsager University, after completing my degree I made the decision to embark on a career in sports education. I worked in a number of schools in Manchester and then as a PE teacher in Qatar. In the 5 years I was in Qatar, I managed, coordinated and developed an outstanding Enrichment Programme as well as being a House Leader.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach in a fantastic school such as BSB Sanlitun. It will provide me with the opportunity to teach Physical Education in a vibrant school.

I am very passionate about sport outside of work. I love to watch Liverpool and the Ashes Test matches. During my younger years, I participated in football and cricket, representing my regional and county teams. I also competed at a semi-professional level. Nowadays, I still enjoy playing 5-a-side and in Qatar I enjoyed a weekly game of golf with friends; something which I hope I can continue to embrace in Beijing as well! In between working and sporting moments, I have lots of adventures with my family, going to the cinema, swimming and cooking. We are very much looking forward to lots of new family adventures in China!
