Michael O’Boyle

Michael O'Boyle

Year 5 Flamingos Class Teacher

I took the academic path later in life after working in industry. I gained a 2-1 Upper Class Degree at the University of Plymouth. I took some time coaching and teaching in Kenya. I then progressed to complete my PGCE at St Luke’s College, University of Exeter – Design Technology specialist.

I am an accomplished and experienced class teacher with excellent interpersonal skills with both students and adults alike. I see myself as a problem solver. I have experience in KS2 and KS1 delivering the National Curriculum with an emphasis on excellence in literacy and numeracy.

I have previously been part of an extremely driven and hardworking team, who have tirelessly strived to raise standards throughout. I was part of the senior leadership team making decisions on pastoral responsibilities, Numeracy, PE and Design Technology lead.

Providing a trusting, inspirational learning environment. I like to give pupils key skills to take ownership of their own learning, empowering them for the world ahead.

I have been working in China for one year now and I am really enjoying the school and the experience.
