Our teachers conscientiously manage the amount and scheduling of homework. This ensures that your child benefits from their homework, rather than simply "putting in time."

Homework plays an important role in your child's learning. It allows for reflecton, consolidation and preparation for what comes next. It also involves you as a parent in your child's education and provides a vital link between home and school.

Lower School

In the youngest part of the school, homework consists mainly of nightly reading with parents. From Kindergarten through Grade 5, assignments are given on a weekly basis. This encourages your child to begin developing time-management skills and perseverence, while also giving you flexibility for after school activities.

Middle and High School

In the Middle and High School, homework is put on a timetable so that students and parents know what to expect and can plan appropriately.

Encouraging your child to develop positive homework habits and a constructive attitude is an important way to help your child get the most out of assignments and projects. The resulting pride in a job well done pays benefits for years.

You are always welcome to talk to your child's teacher for specific details.
