BISB to Host Elite UK University Tour

Ever wonder what it takes to get into the United Kingdom's equivalent of an Ivy League university? Visit the British International School of Boston on Tuesday, October 21 to find out.
  • Two women talk with a college admissions representative

Representatives from six of the United Kingdom's top universities will visit BISB on Tuesday, October 21 for an admissions fair and workshop with local students.

Admissions personnel from University of Bristol, Durham University, Newcastle University, University of Southampton, The University of Warwick and University of York will visit with students and parents to discuss admissions procedures to their institutions.

The evening will begin at 7 p.m. for a presentation on the college application process in the United Kingdom, as well as a short presentation on each university in attendance. Students and parents will then have the opportunity to chat with represenatives one-on-one and get their questions answered.

For additional application advice, students in Years 12 and 13 (high school juniors and seniors), are invited to the school at 5:30 p.m. for a free workshop on writing a personal statement, the UK equivalent of the college essay.

This is a great opportunity for our students preparing to apply to colleges this fall, and for those just beginning their college search process.

Interested in attending? PLEASE REGISTER by Monday, October 20!
