Join the Global Orchestra...As a Journalist!

March 04, 2015

Nord Anglia Education is offering the opportunity of a lifetime to a budding student journalist: the opportunity to cover a week-long music learning program this summer in New York City!

Are you interested in journalism? Do you have what it takes to put your school on the map?

Would you relish the chance to go to New York city and report on Nord Anglia Education's first ever Global Orchestra, which will unite our schools from around the world?

The Global Orchestra will consist of a choir, soloists and instrumental ensembles that will join together in New York this June for an exclusive week long residential program culminating in a public performance to celebrate their musical accomplishments.

Nord Anglia Education is looking for one outstanding student from Year 9 or above- a journalist in the making!- to accompany a group of students and teachers to the Global Orchestra summer school in New York, to cover the whole event.

Interested students can enter our journalism competition and be in the running for a place on this fantastic summer trip. The competition winner will work closely with our film crew to record the summer school: from workshops, to practice sessions, performances, sightseeing activities, reviewing shows visited and interviews with performers, teachers and students.

To enter the competition, students will need to complete the application form found on the Global Classroom site and submit a portfolio of work covering the Global Orchestra audition process. The deadline for entries is April 10.

To find out more, visit the Young Journalists area on the Global Classroom.
