Year 1 Teacher and Director of Student Welfare for Year 2 - Year 5

I attended Manchester University where I studied Philosophy and Theology. I then went on to complete my Postgraduate Certificate of Education at London South Bank University. After five wonderful years teaching in London I moved to Los Angeles for an exciting educational opportunity. My travels then took me to Chicago where I taught Year 2 for four years.

My biggest achievement was running the Chicago marathon in 2013 while dressed as Abraham Lincoln! I also adore cooking, reading and shopping. I am passionate about all sports and since moving to America I have been learning how to play ice hockey. I am really looking forward to exploring some of the local ski resorts and taking full advantage of the water sports in summer.

What do you feel makes BISB unique?

I enjoy teaching at BISB because of it's international outlook, the curriculum is delivered so that the children gain a greater understanding of the world around them. The school’s aim is to develop each student as a global citizen. We use a creative approach to teach each lesson, which engages every student, and inspires them to investigate new learning.
