I received my B.A. in English from Boston University and my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University. I hold my Massachusetts Educator Licensure and have worked for the past 5 years in schools throughout the Greater Boston Area.

I have been really proud to coach our Middle/High School Cross Country team for the past two years at BISB. I began running myself only a few years ago, but now regularly participate in local 5ks and always race in the Tufts Health Plan 10k for Women in October. I am also incredibly proud of the expansion and development of the ALN Department here at BISB and of how many students we are now able to help compared to only a few years ago.

During my own coursework, I became interested and involved with Gender Studies and Social Justice. I try to incorporate these two passions into my English and Writing Lab lessons whenever possible and I love having conversations about these topics with anyone who will listen. I enjoy cooking new recipes, reading, and hiking in my free time.

What do you feel makes BISB unique?

What I genuinely love about BISB is its students. I have worked in many schools, but the students at BISB have really impressed me with their maturity, intellect, and curiosity from day one . Sometimes I find myself racing to catch up with them, but I couldn't be more happy to do so. They challenge me as an educator and I hope I challenge them in return.
