Michael S

P.E. Teacher

I moved to Boston from New York where I worked as a Physical Education teacher for several years. I graduated from Maritime College with a Bachelors Degree in International Transportation and Trade. During that time, I was a member of the school's basketball team. Sports and physical activities are a major part of my life and experience of various types of sport-based work helped me realize that I wanted to further my education and complete my Masters Degree in Education. I enjoy both the practical and the theoretical aspects of Physical Education and I believe that I have something of a natural talent for coaching and for devising new activities which will stimulate students' interest in sport and their belief in its importance for human well-being, health, and stability.

I love working at BISB because of the excellent reputation it has for academics, athletics, and quality of education. Students are challenged to push themselves and the abundance of classes show that the school gives them the opportunity to succeed. It is also well known that the parents are active in their children's education and I believe that is one of the most critical aspects of a successful education. It is also well known that the teachers here are passionate about what they teach and it shows with performance.
