Student health and wellbeing is of paramount importance at our school. Our teachers know each student personally, and are trained to understand and observe this aspect of a child's development and to intervene if required.
Student Health:
Our school staffs a full time nurse who works actively with parents to understand the individual medical needs of each child, and to ensure your child receives the best health care during the school day.
Athletics and Physical Education:
We place a priority on teaching students how to exercise and stay active. Physical education is an important part of our curriculum, and outdoor play is encouraged as part of each school day. After school, your child will have access to a wide variety of competitive and club sports to keep them moving and prepare them to maintain an active lifestyle throughout their lives.
Healthy Eating:
While we do allow treats in the classroom for student birthdays and holiday celebrations, parents are encouraged to send fruits and vegetables with their children for school day snacks. In the cafeteria, your child will have daily access to fresh produce on the extensive salad bar, various cooked vegetable dishes, as well as whole grain rice, pasta and bread.
Reporting Absence:
Our teachers and office staff work together to keep close track of student attendance each day. Parents must contact the office before school to notify teachers of any absences, and must sign students in and out of school if arriving late or leaving early.
