This past Sunday, November 13th, Year 2 students and their families decided to give back to the community by collaborating with Cradles to Crayons.
Students collected donations from Year 2 a few weeks ago at school and on Sunday, a handful of children and their families visited the C2C sort warehouse to help volunteer.
Students and their caregivers worked in three sections at the sort facility- Books, Clothes and Shoes. Children were in charge of going through each item and checking for quality, age group and sizes. They had to make sure the pages in the books were in good condition and sort all of the clothing and shoes.
At the end of this wonderful event, everyone enjoyed lunch that was donated by local businesses around the school -- Mariano's New City, Whole Foods and Italian Pizza Kitchen.
