During their recent trip to Delhi, India, Anya and Isabella noticed that a lot of children are living
on the streets. Those kids don’t have the same things that bring smile and happiness to Bella and Anya back home in the U.S. When asked, Bella said that toys and books bring her joy every day, therefore they decided to help out. The girls donated all of their money, collected from grandparents and relatives, and with a little bit of help from their parents, they purchased school supplies and rattles. They made over 100 packages and distributed them in a local hospital.
They partnered with their uncle Dr. Bajaj, who runs the “Smile Train” charity program providing free corrective surgery and care to children with cleft lips and palates. Anya and Isabella distributed all of their packages and were able to make a small difference and few friends. The girls proudly said that they were honored to display values they learned at their school (British International School of Chicago) such as: Care, Love, Thoughtfulness and Understanding. The girls are already planning their next adventure to help others.
