Early Childhood Learning Assistant

Growing up in Springfield, Illinois, I spent many summers and weekends visiting Chicago. My fondness for this city grows daily and I was excited to move here this past March. Prior to my move, I attended Fordham University in New York, where I majored in English Literature. Throughout my college career I participated in theater, trivia and volunteer farming. I'm excited to explore the different parks, theaters, and urban farms in Chicago.

Learning should be personalized to each student. Through teaching after school programs, it became very apparent the importance of individualizing education. Students often think and retain material through different modes, so it is important to ensure there is a diverse range of the way concepts are introduced. This allows students to feel capable and confident in their ability to learn, think, and grow.
