Having completed a PGCE in my hometown of Manchester in the UK in 2008, I decided to embark on an adventure teaching children in schools internationally. My first stop was Beijing in 2010, where I worked at the Nord Anglia school for five years. After that I moved to Hong Kong and worked for another international school before rejoining the Nord Anglia school in Hong Kong in 2017. I have been in Chicago now for six months teaching in Nursery, but I am very excited to be moving to the Pre-Nursery class this year and teaching the youngest students in our school!
I personalize learning for every child in my class. The learning experiences I plan and prepare allow children to develop the skills they need to succeed. In my teaching, I create an environment where children are engaged, challenged, and most of all, excited. I want the children to feel confident to take risks and have a go at everything, knowing they are fully supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
