Year 2 Teacher, Eastman House Captain

I am from Manchester, a place I am very proud to be from. We are a city known for our football (soccer), music and strangely enough bees. I have taught in Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Prague. I am now in my 3rd year at BISC-LP. I love exploring the city of Chicago, especially by bike and eating lots of delicious cuisines along the way. Since moving to the States, I have thoroughly enjoyed traveling, and I take pleasure in sharing my trips with the students and, in turn, learning more about their cultures and experiences.

I believe that both creativity and challenges help students get better every day. In the past, schooling was focused on making each child reach the same result with a finite level. I am excited to be part of a teaching community that is striving to make each child unique by presenting them with opportunities to be creative and explore this creativity through all subjects in the curriculum. I aim to challenge all the students in my class to go beyond the expected level and for them to reach their full potential.
