I grew up in a coastal town called Barry, close to the capital city, Cardiff, in South Wales. At the age of 18, I relocated to England to study at the University of Worcester and gained a BA Honors - Primary Initial Teacher Education degree with QTS. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunities of teaching internationally; inspiring new students, building a relationship with their parents/guardians and experiencing life in a new country.
Over the past couple of years, I have travelled throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, Central America and North America. I have a love for action sports and enjoy wakeboarding, scuba-diving and skiing. I am an avid animal lover and love to foster rescue dogs to give them a new start to life. In the past seven years, I have taught internationally in Qatar, Shanghai and now Chicago. I have lived in Chicago for one year now and despite the uncertain circumstances of 2020, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year in Chicago and at BISC-LP. I am excited to return for my 2nd year and move into KS2, to teach Year 4. I believe that there’s no limit to what every student can achieve. When students are inspired through an engaging and exciting curriculum, they can achieve whatever they put their minds to. As a teacher, I promote a high-level of respect between my students and I and strive for all students to be ambitious for their future. Through a love of learning and enthusiastic teaching, my students and I create an inclusive environment, where they can reach for the stars academically and non-academically.
