Year 4 Leader

I am originally from Ireland, where I worked as a journalist for four years after graduating. Following a brief stint in Australia, I moved to Brighton, England to train as a teacher. I remained there for four years before moving to Chicago in 2015. While Ireland will always be home, I feel more like a Chicagoan every day and love the fact that I can look at that beautiful skyline on my daily cycle to work.

My hobbies outside school include soccer and travel. However, my biggest passion is Gaelic Football. Chicago has a healthy competition, and I have acted as chairman for my club for the past three years.

Creativity and challenge help our students get better every day. This is my fifth year at BISC-LP, and the best aspect of working here is that I have the opportunity to be as creative as I can when designing a curriculum for our students. When children have this impetus, they want to get the most out of their learning and push themselves further everyday. As a result, the high expectations that we have for children at this school are constantly met in fun and exciting ways.
