Year 1 Teacher

BISC-LP has some fantastic families from all over the world! It has been amazing to meet so many, especially during assemblies. The community at BISC-LP  is great; there are so many opportunities for parents to come in to help out in class, such as parent assist, mystery reader and lunchtime assist.

Before moving to Chicago to teach at the British School I lived and worked in Brighton, England. While in Brighton, I worked at several different primary schools with a range of children from 4 to 7 years old. I received my degree in Early Childhood Studies from the University of the West of England before completing my Post Graduate Certificate of Education with Masters Credits at the University of Brighton England.

I come from a military family and as a result have moved around the world since the age of three. While growing up I lived and went to school in Italy, Germany and Belgium. At the age of thirteen I started boarding school in the UK and went to visit my family in the school holidays. After finishing school I moved to Rockhampton, Australia, where I worked as an early year’s specialist in the Nursery department.

What our students say:

"I love Miss Todd because she teaches me lots of fun things."

"Miss Todd is amazing and it’s so much fun being in her class. I really like writing in my book with Miss Todd because she helps me."

"I like Miss Todd because she takes care of me at school."
