Last week the Key Stage 1 and 2 "Great House Lunch Date" took place, with great success. The idea of the venture was to encourage a sense of team spirit and solidarity amongst the house groups and to allow the children of the different key stages to meet other children in their houses and make new friends.
The dining hall was brightly decorated expertly, by our House Captains, with shiny table cloths and colored balloons to match each of the four house colors: Washington (red), Athens (blue), Paris (yellow) and London (green). The children sat and ate their lunches at their affiliated tables and got to socialize with other children of different classes, year groups and even key stages who were in their house.
The children all had a fabulous time and enjoyed meeting their house mates. Hopefully, some new friendships have been forged and the spirit of the house system strengthened for the upcoming year!
