Year 3

As part of our work on earthquakes, we have been learning about how they are measured.  This week in the Lovely Lemurs classroom, we have made our very own seismographs to help us understand the correlation between the size of the earthquake and the length of the mark the needle makes.  We worked in groups, which meant we had to use several of our Learning Qualities.  We sure created some huge earthquakes!

Year 4

This week, Year 4 have been performing their auditions for their upcoming play Time Lord. The children were asked to perform a short piece to demonstrate their speaking, performing, singing or rapping skills.

Time Lord is an amazing adventure story, bursting with catchy songs, fascinating characters and a healthy dose of rip-roaring comedy. Imagine what it would be like to travel back in time; to be able to visit any historical figure you liked from any era... unbelievable? This is exactly what happens to Harriet and Sam as they explore a rambling old house that is their new home, where they discover a hidden cupboard that has been sealed up for years. Inside the cupboard they discover an old board game called Time Lord, which leads them to meet a real Time Lord and go on an incredible journey into the past.

The Year 4 children are very much looking forward to being given their parts and commencing rehearsals in full preparation for their performances at the end of next month.
