Our team competed with 7 other schools. The disciplines the children were tested in were in Maths, Logic and Humanities. The challenge was tough and saw the children working both independently and in small teams to complete a range of challenging activities. The British school of Nanjing found themselves confronted with difficult problems from the start, but I am pleased to say that they stayed cool under the pressure and responded with great cooperation, coordination, intellect and team spirit.
The students were exceptional over the 2-day competition and even though we did not finish in the top 3, we did bring home the Spirit Award for exceptional teamwork and most etiquette team. This award was voted for by all other schools in the competition and it was definitely a well-deserved award.
Both Mr. Dolan and Su Laoshi were very impressed with how mature the children were throughout the trip and would like to say a huge congratulation to all children involved.
