Year 8A were in for a special treat this month with Nicholas Mahmat from Juilliard tunning in all the way from New York for a very special drama lesson.
The students worked with Nicholas exploring ways to perform silent actions - like tying your shoelace or adjusting and item of clothing - and explored acting these actions without the theatrical fourth wall. The students were challenged to really push their understanding of the fourth wall and experienced ways they can have a direct connection with the audience and how breaking this wall affects a performers' behaviour and actions. Year 8A had a fantastic time and will be meeting with Nicholas again soon to take part in another theatrical master class!
