How far do students walk in a year here at BSN?

The question of “How far do students walk in a year of attending classes here at BSN” was investigated by a dedicated group of Y6 mathematicians.

In the process of arriving at an estimation of the distance the students measured their paces and then paced out an ‘average’ route of their day. Tabulation of data and calculations then ensued. The students enjoyed using their iPads to record data and OneNote to collaborate during the investigation. The distances calculated where very surprising – no wonder why students have such a lunchtime appetite!

It has been all keyboards blazing here in the IT lab for the new Y6 students. Students have been using their 365 accounts to set up and customise Edge as their default browser to use for the rest of the year.  This has included changing search engines, bookmarking and setting their ID photos. Tasks that have involved using OneDrive, Teams and OneNote applications have been completed and students have gained confidence and skills that will be needed for other subjects. Students had lots of fun taking their ID photos and learning basic editing skills using the SnapSeed app on their iPad.  We have talented photographers in our midst!
