Say Hello to your new teachers!

Hinkle

Mrs Hinkel – Year 1B

Hello! I’m Mrs Hinkel and I will be teaching the children in Year 1B from October.

I moved to China in 2009 and my first overseas international teaching position was in Nanjing at the British School of Nanjing! I have been living in South East Asia for the past 11 years and have worked in international schools in Nanjing, Shanghai and Singapore. I am very excited and looking forward to coming back to Nanjing and working at BSN again.
In my spare time, I like reading, going to the cinema and swimming, but the most important thing I love the best... is spending quality time with my daughter!

Miss Cooper

Miss Cooper – Year 2

Hello to everyone at The British School of Nanjing, and a particularly big hello to Year 2 who I am looking forward to teaching this academic year.

My name is Miss Cooper and I come from Solihull in the West Midlands, where I lived with my family. I grew up in a home-run nursery setting which my mother lovingly developed over 32 years, this is most likely what fostered my passion and enthusiasm for early education.

I have an extremely active lifestyle so when I am not working, or at least thinking about work, I will be at the gym letting out some of the endless energy that I am told that I have.

I have taught in Year 2 for the last two years and I thoroughly look forward to joining you all very soon to continue doing what I love.

Miss Wilson – Year 5A

Hello! My name's Miss Wilson and I'm going to be the new teacher for Year 5A. At the time of writing, I have settled into my hotel in Nanjing and am very much looking forward to coming out and experiencing all the sights and sounds of Nanjing and, of course, BSN. While I have never been to China before, I have already felt really welcomed after my Meet and Greet session with 5A online. I loved hearing their interesting questions and learning a bit about them. I think they particularly enjoyed testing my minibeasts knowledge!

In my spare time, I love to play the violin and sing so I am excited to find out that many of the children in 5A love to play music too! I also enjoy hiking, going to the gym and reading anything I can get my hands on!

I have many interesting learning projects lined up for 5A and I just can't wait to get started!
