We are extremely fortunate to be in this position and were the first school across the entire Nord Anglia network, including those in China, to open its doors to students of any age. This put us in the position of trail-blazers, that meant we created the model for re-opening schools (as we had been when the move to virtual learning happened). Across Nord Anglia, schools learnt from our successful road map and were able to anticipate the challenges they might face. It also means that our academic results over the last twelve months reflect that, for our students, their learning has continued in the best possible way.
Of course, we also owe a large part of our fortune to how closely China has managed the pandemic and whilst the restrictions have impacted all of our lives, we also know they have allowed life to return to some sense of normality in Nanjing. These restrictions continue to make leading an international school, where a sense of global connectivity is so important, a challenge but staff, students and our families have risen to these challenges so well!
