Performing Art

Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival China, 2019 Theatre

Nord Anglia Education and the International Schools Theatre Association are proud to present Nord Anglia Performing Arts China, 2019 Theatre

Over the three days of the festival, students will take part in workshops to enhance their acting skills and work in groups with a professional director to create a performance. This is a wonderful opportunity for IGCSE drama students to develop their knowledge of practitioners and styles, which will support them with their upcoming coursework. On the final day they will perform their work in a showcase lasting approximately 40 minutes, which parents and family are welcome to come and enjoy.

The event will take place from Thursday 7th November until Saturday 9th of November and will be held at host school NACIS. Students will leave and return to NAIS on each day of the festival.  Please be aware for your own planning that the Friday and Saturday of the course take place during a 4 day NAIS school holiday.

The exact cost will be confirmed by the organisers once attendance numbers are finalised, however the maximum cost will be 2500RMB.

In addition to the workshops and rehearsals, this fee will cover all transport, lunch and dinner each day, a social BBQ party to close the festival, official t-shirt, water bottle and bag and all other equipment required by students.

Spaces are limited to 20 participants per school, therefore early response is recommended to ensure your child’s place.

To register please complete the short response form by completing the link below no later than Friday 30thAugust. Places will be confirmed in the week commencing Monday 2nd September.

If you have any further questions regarding the festival please email Olivia Lopez, Head of Performing Arts
