Here at Rayyan in the EY2 classrooms, you would be mistaken for thinking that you were not in school. You can hear lots of different voices: deep growly voice saying “Whose been eating my porridge?”; a high pitch voice squeaking, “Run, run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man” ; an angry voice shouting “Who’s that trip trapping over my bridge?” ; a deep voice boomed “Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum!”What WAS happening??
Not to worry; it was the children re-enacting the Traditional Tales that they have been focusing on since the Spring Break. They have enjoyed making their own puppets; putting shows with puppets; dressing-up and role playing the traditional tales; re-telling the stories using sequence cards and their own writing; culminating in Early Years 2B class assembly where both classes shared their learning through speech and words. Enjoy the pictures!
