As a school, we feel it is absolutely crucial that we celebrate student successes, both in and out of the classroom. This is for a number of reasons, students (and their parents) feel immensely proud when they recognised for the performance and efforts, and just as important is the fact that it inspires all students to be ambitious.
This week’s Primary celebration assembly was a perfect example of this, with a student each class being awarded a certificate of excellence we also had wonderful performances from our percussion group and the Primary Choir. Each aspect generated enthusiasm – with students talking about how they aim to receive a certificate at the next celebration assembly or asking how they could join the Primary Choir.
Continuing the musical theme, this week sees our Madinat Khalifa Variety Evening which will take place on Wednesday at 5:00 pm. There will be instrumental performances from students across the Primary and Secondary phases, along with performances from our Primary, Secondary and Community Choir. This will be a great event and I hope to see many of you there.
This week also saw the launch of our 2nd MIT STEAM challenge entitled ‘Hack the Tube’. Please see the poster and article from Mr McArtney for more details.
Have a wonderful week.
