International Mindedness

Knowing who you are and where you fit into this world, whilst respecting the similarities and differences between nationalities, cultures and traditions.

At Compass International School Doha, we teach children to respect their own and others’ cultures and traditions and they learn about what makes us special; our similarities and differences. This morning Rayyan campus kicked off their International Week with an Olympic style parade to celebrate our student’s nationalities. One Campus-52 nationalities; learning together to make a warm and welcoming school community. Our community was very much in evidence as so many proud parents came along to cheer on their children and have a photo opportunity.

Our FCS group have prepared displays with the theme of International STEAM-who are the famous scientists , inventors, engineers, artists, mathematicians and architects of the future from your country? Check the boards to see what you can find out.

The children will be focusing on learning about one particular country, in their classes, over the next two days. We have a Cuban band coming to school at 11.00am on Wednesday to share some of their music and traditions. On Thursday morning, we invite parents to attend the very popular International Buffet and the day will end with performances from each class. We hope you can join us for this great week of international celebration.
