  • IGCSE Maths - 100% Success

Dear Parents,

A week of preparation and celebration. We were thrilled on Thursday to celebrate the results of our IGCSE early entry maths. 100% achieved a grade 7 – 9, this is equivalent to 100% A-A**. Three students achieved a grade 9 which recent summer comparison, puts them in to the top 3% globally. This is the result of a lot of hard work by students and teachers and will set them up well for our ambitious aspirations of them now starting the higher level IB diploma course.

The students performing in Annie were in all weekend in anticipation of the first two performances this week. It has been six months in preparations, both after school and at weekends. The students feel exhilarated after the final performance, and then realise that it is all over. The set and stage are looking good and I hope to see those there as much as possible.

Staff are busy preparing stalls for this weekend’s Spring Fete. I have also been visited by some students today regarding their own stall as they have created their own businesses out of school. We will be building on the entrepreneurial streak in students by creating an Enterprise GCSE next year. This is to recognise the demand and students skills in this type of course, and be as an add on GCSE away from our timetabled options.

I hope to see you this weekend.

Yours sincerely

Tom Douch
