It is a delight seeing all the smiles on children’s faces as they settle into their new school environment.
Children have very much settled into school life and have already adjusted to their daily timetable. Routines and expectations have also been established with the children adjusting well to classroom rules.
It was great to see such a great turn out of parents at last week’s Milepost presentations. We hope the sessions were informative. The information from the presentations is now available on iSams.
In order to continue to support parents, the school is hosting numerous presentations and workshops. This month’s presentations are as follows:
Wednesday 4 September EYFS (Early Years) presentation 7.30am to 8.15am
Monday 9 September Arabic presentation 7.30am to 8.15am
Wednesday 18 September Dutch Information evening 7.00pm
Wednesday 25 September EYFS (Early Years) phonics and maths 7.40am to 8.40am
We would also like to invite all our parents along to our School in Action in two weeks’ time which will take place on Monday, 16 September. The morning will give parents an insight into how teachers engage children in the classroom. Parents are welcome to visit any classrooms to see children in action and how they learn in different parts of the school. The session will begin at 7.45am and finish at 9.00am. We are looking forward to seeing all our parents at our open morning.
Our first FCS (Friends of Compass School) meeting will take place on Tuesday 10th September. All parents are welcome. The meeting will be led by the FCS team. The meetings are great fun and a fantastic way to meet other parents.
Please informed that our online Extra Curricular Activity (ECA) signup will close tomorrow morning.
I would like to end this message by thanking parents for a very positive start to the school term and for ensuring that the teachers’ jobs are made easier by supporting the school’s policies. Please remember to remain in communication with the teacher, informing the school of any issues which may have an impact on the child’s behaviour or learning.
