On Thursday , we held the first ever Talent Show at Themaid Campus. We were treated to an extraordinary range of talent from dancers to comedians and from instrumentalists to singers. The standard of each act was extremely high as the whole school came together to celebrate and support their friends and peers. The final song, from Levi was both magical and memorable as he gave a fantastic performance of Frank Sinatra’s My Way to a very appreciative audience. A lovely way to start the holiday. Thank you to Mr Rowntree for the time and effort he put into preparing the show.

Last week we held our popular Drop in for Coffee to welcome parents and have an informal chat about living in Doha and school matters. As always, I got some valuable feedback to help us to develop the school and see more opportunities for our students. I hope you can manage to the next one, first Wednesday of every month.

Following coffee, we held a parent seminar on linking family travel and out of school learning. Thank you to those parents who attended. We hope it was useful in giving you a focus for holidays and keeping your children amused and engaged.

We look forward to seeing you in school for Sports Week, beginning on the 16th February. All year groups will take part in a competition at Themaid in their house colours.  Please see the specific sports programme for details of day and time.

We also welcome our Juilliard Dance Specialist, Joshua Palmer who will deliver an assembly and take classes with students. We hope you can come along to assembly to learn about the programme and have a taste of dance from the expert.

Have a lovely holiday.

Kind regards,

Mrs Djedid
