Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum prepares your child to study for GCSEs, IGCSEs and the IB Diploma Programme.

We follow the English National Curriculum until Year 11 culminating in i/GCSE examinations. Our students then transition to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Year 12 and Year 13. Throughout their educational journey with us, students are exposed to high standards of academic quality and rigour.

Understanding the English National Curriculum & the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

The English National Curriculum is segmented into Key Stages. At NAS Dubai we refer to Years 1-3 as the Lower Primary School and Years 4-6 as the Upper Primary School. In our Secondary School Years 7 & 8 are referred to as Lower Secondary and our Years 9-11 (GCSE) as Upper Secondary. Our Sixth Form covers Years 12 & 13.

Excellence in language learning

Nord Anglia Education schools have a particular strength in delivering language learning programmes, with some native language teaching. Your child will be able to learn Arabic in Dubai, but we will also offer another language other than English to all our students. The current options are French, Chinese (Mandarin), German and Spanish.

Personalised Learning and Pastoral Care

NAS Dubai believes all students are entitled to an outstanding education that enables them to reach their full academic potential, and develop the emotional and social skills that will equip them to become successful, well-rounded adults. We are committed to personalising the learning for every student and seek to deliver a differentiated curriculum that caters for the diverse needs of every individual, throughout their school career.

NAS Dubai has an experienced, highly-skilled Pastoral team and we ensure every student receives the appropriate support they need to achieve their potential. We work in partnership with students, parents, carers and external agencies to engage our students, fulfil their needs and monitor their individual progress.

Our open-door policy allows us to have a personalised approach to admissions, enabling families to discuss all needs and requirements prior to enrolment.
