I am originally from London in the UK. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies at Oxford Brookes University. This is where I also completed my PGCE teaching qualification, specialising in the Early Years, in 2013. I worked in two different primary schools in London for 5 years before deciding to make the big move to Dubai this year. I have loved teaching in London and I’m really looking forward to living and teaching in Dubai as I know it is a culturally diverse and exciting city!
I have worked across EYFS and Key Stage 1 and I have been really lucky to work in a variety of different settings throughout my training and career. I have a particular passion for teaching in the Early Years and I believe that supporting learning and development in those crucial first years of school is very rewarding. During my career, I have held roles including leading Pupil Voice groups across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I introduced Pupil Voice groups in my previous school as I believe that it is important for schools to listen to the needs and views of the pupils, in order to create a happy, safe and successful learning environment.
I am a friendly, warm and enthusiastic person and I enjoy meeting and talking to new people. I have many hobbies including singing in a choir and doing yoga, and I’m looking forward to continuing with these hobbies in Dubai.
