Reception - Hedgehogs

Originally from Scotland, I graduated from Dundee University with a BEd (Hons) in Primary Education.

I taught in Scotland for 6 years before making the big move out to Dubai. After living here in this beautiful city for 11 years, it has most definitely become my ‘home from home’. I am grateful to live in such a vibrant, multi-cultural city with my husband and two young children both of whom are excited to join the NAS family.

Within my professional career to date, I have worked throughout all Key Stages. In Dubai, I have both taught and led within the Foundation Stage for the past 10 years. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education and wholeheartedly believe in children being fully involved in their learning journeys with emphasis being placed on child-led education and enquiry based play.I am an advocate for creating natural, open-ended and engaging learning environments in which children can safely explore and develop skills. I find the teaching and learning in the NAS Early Years Department to be fully innovative and at the forefront of current educational practice and I am thrilled to be joining the team!

When I am not in school, I love spending time with family and friends. As a family, we love to go to the beach and enjoy the (mostly) beautiful climate by spending lots of time outdoors. My hobbies also include, keeping fit, coffee catch ups and curling up with a good book!
