An entrepreneur at heart, Kelly Hayes came in to the business of hosting athletic competitions for High School Teams looking to travel from across the country to match up on a national platform. The company Kelly started over 25 years ago, known as KSA Events, was originally sold in it’s infancy to a publicly traded entity on the domestic scene.
This entity was then purchased by an International corporation which purchased and consolidated several other US companies during the time that KSA Events was under it’s ownership. Undergoing several transitional integrations through the guidance of the International corporation, KSA Events took on new software systems and other operational investments that were quickly recognized by Kelly as being outside the scope of KSA’s brand and mission. Looking to exit this business relationship, Kelly was approached by an investor that would allow her to re-acquire 100% ownership of the business and to grow in the desired markets.
Now, almost five years after re-acquisition, KSA Events is thriving in the High School athletic space. Kelly, and the company, are learning new strategies and objectives to advance areas within the portfolio - very much executing a consistent and well established model among the High School scene.
Kelly, and her husband Todd, are enjoying daily adventures with their three children, Macy, Madison, and Riley. The Hayes kids are students at WPS in Eighth, Seventh, and Third grade, respectively.
