Laker Learning Buddy Program
“To teach is to learn twice.” Such is the rationale behind our Laker Learning Buddies. Windermere Preparatory School Lower School and Middle School students are paired with another student, creating a social and a learning relationship. Learning buddies learn together, support each other, and grow together. Throughout the year, buddies work together in various ways. Meeting monthly, they participate in collaborative projects and activities. These meetings are an extension of the curriculum that enhances learning for all students involved and promotes the Windermere Preparatory School community.

Kindergarten Graduation
To celebrate the completion of our Early Childhood program, Kindergarten students participate in a full graduation ceremony during the last week of school. Dressed in their graduation caps our students share their year of learning with their parents and are received into First Grade by our First Grade faculty members. This a memorable event that parents, faculty, and students treasure.

5th Grade Graduation – Crossing the Bridge
The completion of Lower School is recognized as our students “Cross the Bridge” into Middle School. Each student shares a personal moment or memoir of learning from his or her Lower School experience as he or she “Crosses the Bridge”. Students are received and acknowledged with a pin by Middle School students and faculty. This ceremony commences the next phase of their Windermere Preparatory School learning experience.
