In order to ensure the students have a successful and engaging learning experience in their Physical Education courses, the teachers have outlined the following student responsibilities and guidelines.
Lower School
Materials needed: Windermere Preparatory School appropriate Physical Education clothes, running shoes (active footwear), water bottle, and journal (Third through Fifth Grades)

Hydrate. Students are to bring a water bottle to class in order to stay hydrated throughout class

Show respect consistently. Students are to respect their classmates, teacher, as well as anyone else in the Windermere Preparatory School community while traveling from their homeroom class to the designated Physical Education area.

Listen and participate in lessons. Students are to come to Physical Education class with a willingness to listen and learn.
- Follow the rules established by the teacher. Students are to abide by all rules and policies set forth by the teacher since they are designed to keep the students safe and ensure learning takes place during each class.

Dress appropriately. When students have Physical Education, they must wear the proper attire to participate in the activity that day. Shorts under jumpers are highly recommended for female students. Appropriate active footwear is a requirement.

Be responsible in the locker room and dress promptly. Students in Fifth Grade must be on their best behavior when in the bathroom. They must dress out promptly and report to their teacher as soon as they have finished changing clothes. P.E. Uniform for Fifth Grade must be Windermere Preparatory School T-shirt and shorts.
For all grade levels, please remind the students that they should not bring valuables to their Physical Education classes. If valuables were to go missing, Windermere Preparatory School does not assume responsibility for these items.
Middle and High School
Materials needed: combination lock, Windermere Preparatory School T-shirts and shorts, running shoes (active footwear), water bottle, and journal

Report to Class Promptly. Come to class and go directly to the boys and girls locker rooms to dress out. Once finished dressing, exit the locker room.

Use a combination lock everyday. Each student will have a designated Physical Education locker to use throughout the school year for their belongings during class. Students must use a lock at all times. Any items taken from the locker room are the responsibility of the student.

Report for Roll Call. Report to your Physical Education teacher for roll call.

Hydrate. Students are recommended to bring a bottle of water daily.

Stay positive. Students are to maintain a positive attitude during every activity in class, understanding that it takes time to develop skills.

Display sportsmanship. Students are to display good sportsmanship toward their teacher and classmates at all times.

Use Your Journal. Students will be required to keep a journal throughout the year that will include personal physical fitness recordings, goals, food logs, etc.

Absences, Tardiness, Participation

If students are to miss class, it is their responsibility to bring a signed note from a parent or doctor explaining why they missed class.

If students are late to class, they need to bring a note signed by a teacher or faculty member explaining why they were late.

If students do not present a note or email for tardiness or missing class they will receive no credit for the day.

Though there will be communication from the teacher to the parents throughout the year, students must be responsible and pass along additional information to parents about class policies and procedures.
