Two extraordinary events recently took place at WPS which allowed the spirit of Unitas to shine brightly as the focus was placed on community service and on giving back in many more ways than one.
Both events focused on the full WPS community and raised the highest grand totals to date for two exceptional causes.
Miracle Jeans Day has become a heartfelt tradition at WPS, and this year, the WPS community came together once again and raised $2,720 for our local children's hospitals, bringing our overall grand total donation to a remarkable $30,309.67 from The Windermere Preparatory School Cameron Robbert Tappan Fund for the Children's Miracle Network.
In addition to this event, each year, WPS stands strongly in support of all women who have suffered, or who are currently suffering with breast cancer. The 2018 Dig Pink event was the most successful yet with a grand total donation raised of $11,547! To put this in perspective, the event's original contribution in 2011 raised $353.38, and in 2016: $5,157.
A warm congratulations to the entire WPS student body and complete community for its heart, its effort, and the continual focus on giving back year after year. Let's continue to aim even higher!
