Grand Opening of the Cypress Center

This Wednesday night, the WPS community held the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Cypress Center for the Arts, the brand new 34,000 sq. ft. facility now open on the WPS campus. The fine and performing arts facility includes a 550-seat theater, instructional classrooms including a large instrumental music classroom, a vocal music classroom, a large ensemble room, four practice rooms, costume storage, two 1400-square foot dance studios, dressing rooms and more. The Grand Opening event included a VIP Reception, along with the world premiere performance of “Life Has Loveliness to Sell,” composed and conducted by Jim Stephenson, as well as a performance by Juilliard Guest Artist, Carlye Eckert.
