Lakers attend Model UN Summit

“There is more power in unity than in division,” was the theme of the 2019 Nord Anglia United Nations summit hosted last week by Instituto de San Roberto, San Agustin in Monterrey, Mexico. For the first time in school history, a student delegation was sent to represent WPS. Sophomores Julia High and Tessa Best, eighth-graders Kaylan Patel and Eshan Ali, and seventh-grader Gloria High represented the Lakers at the 3-day event, chaperoned by Jamie Davidoff and Jason Hammer. Both Kaylan Patel and Eshan Ali received awards of merit for their work in their committees. We are so proud of these amazing Lakers and look forward to heightening our involvement with Model UN. Check out their adventures here.
