Unity Day

Unity Day for High School is Finally Coming!

On Monday, September 23, the high school will attend the events from the reschedule Unity Day. Some in our community may be wondering what Unity Day is and why we hold this tradition. Unitas, which is Latin for Unity, is one of the three elements of our crest that we foster through this yearly event. To ensure that students not only feel welcome but also have a sense of belonging, we hold grade-level field trips where the students can bond with one another. Because the students have a similar experience, they can form common memories that will last throughout this year and beyond. We have had a variety of events for students to experience this year. Often, the availability and space for an entire grade level creates a challenge. Hosting 140-170 students at one time can be daunting, but because we have such wonderful students, we are always welcome back at the venues we visit. This year, we will attend the following places: Seniors: Cocoa Beach, FL, Juniors: Top Golf, Sophomores: Andretti Karting, Freshmen: Splitsville. Through these fun activities, students are able to see that school can be about fun as well as academia. By allowing the students, teachers, and counselors this day to interact in these environments, we are spreading the love and increasing the Unitas!
