High School Theatre Arts

High School Theatre Arts at Windermere Preparatory School is a place where collaboration with artists, students, parents, and faculty drives the success of a close-knit artistic community. With a variety of opportunities to perform in main stage, black-box, studio and town-hall venues, there is a collective passion brought to every endeavor.  Our theater program equips students to have the necessary techniques and skills that mirror the professional discipline. We endeavor to go beyond traditional means primarily in the material we present, how it's presented, and the techniques studied. What marks our program with excellence is our dedicated staff that goes beyond the classroom to ensure the best possible teaching practices and an environment that is not only ambitious, but innovated.

Lower School Theatre Arts

We strive to give every child the opportunity to find what ignites their inner passion through education in the performing arts. Our Lower School Dramatic Arts program offers a complete educational base in the performing arts (acting, singing, dance, and production).  When your child’s path continues into the rich and dynamic arena of the performing arts, the Lower School Dramatic Arts program will have provided each student with a complete theoretical and practical knowledge to enable them to discover their full potential.  Their learning will begin with the history and literature of the dramatic arts. Each student will then be introduced to performance skills and techniques in dramatic acting, singing, and dance. Every student will learn the art of stage production and have the opportunity to perform, create, and manage a musical and/or dramatic production.
