On Thursday 17 March, we will hold our first House Spelling Bee competition for Years 4 - 8.
Each House will enter a team of 5 members who will then face a knock-out competition to decide who is the school's greatest speller.
Head of English, Mr. David Robinson said,, "Along the way, we hope all students will be given opportunities to improve both their spelling and vocabularies and to have lots of fun too!"
They will be tested on "Basic Bee" words such as quiet, document, principle and principal to "Killer Bee" words like alliteration, auspicious to vindicate and woebegone (!) There are even some "Bee" ambitious words!
More details are posted in Firefly.
