Lunchtime Concert

The first concert in the new Juilliard Space on the fifth floor of the school was a resounding success! On the final Friday of May, the school was alive with the sound of music for the first time in the newly built Juilliard area. The first of the lunchtime concerts in this new space created a buzz of excitement for all those who came to watch and listen. The concert saw over 90 students and staff come to support the performers.

The performers played and sang with a great amount of musical flair, showing a high level of practical skill. Musicians from across Years 7, 10 and 12 played pieces from several genres of pop, jazz, classical and film music for use with coursework performances in IGCSE and IBDP Music. Alongside the Year 10 and 12 students performing their well-rehearsed pieces for the enjoyment of the crowd, the Year 7 string quartet performed their debut as an ensemble and performers.
