Ms. S. Halmshaw

Ms. Halmshaw

Head of Year 3 & 3D Class Teacher

After graduating from the University of Leicester with a BSc Hons in Psychology, Ms. Halmshaw worked as a teaching assistant in a secondary school. It was this experience that led her to embark on a career in teaching. After completing her PGCE, she worked for four years at an inner-city school in Bethnal Green, East London. This experience gave her the opportunity to teach many children from a range of diverse cultures and backgrounds. Ms. Halmshaw joined Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong in 2017 and became Head of Year 3 in 2018.

Ms. Halmshaw believes that learning should be practical and engaging. She also believes that helping children to develop a growth mindset is key for them to become well rounded global citizens. She works hard to promote these values in her classroom.

In her spare time, she enjoys eating out, cooking and going to the theatre to see plays and musicals.
