Mrs Waddell believes firmly that reading and literacy is crucially important in accessing learning across the curriculum, and recognises the importance of literature in understanding the world around us. She finds it crucially important to get to know, and teach, students on an individual basis; using this knowledge to ensure challenge and enjoyment is present in all learning.
Mrs Waddell is passionate about reading and writing, particularly poetry, but is also a keen lover of the outdoors. Before moving to Hong Kong, she was a regular climber of Scottish Munros (mountains over 3,000 feet) and hopes to ‘bag’ all 282 someday. Here in Hong Kong, she enjoys hiking and sea-kayaking, as well as exploring and learning as much about Hong Kong’s cultures and traditions as possible.
