Since moving to Hong Kong, Mr. Cross has completed an MA in International Education with King’s College, London through Nord Anglia Education’s professional development partnership. His research focused on parental motivations for choosing international schools in Hong Kong.
Mr. Cross has taught GCSE, A-Level and IBDP Geography and is passionate about creating an inclusive teaching environment for all learners. He aims to facilitate student progress through both traditional techniques and new technology, drawing on his own travel experiences to make his subject more meaningful and engaging for his students.
In the summer of 2019 Mr. Cross travelled to Nepal to help lead a professional development programme for Nepalese teachers in a limited resource context. This enabled him to combine both his love of travel and exploring new cultures and places with his passion for teaching.
In his spare time, Mr. Cross enjoys a range of sporting activities, notably football and running. He likes nothing better than spending a weekend exploring one of Hong Kong’s many hiking trails and finishing of the day at the beach.
