Ms. D. Wan

D Wan

Mandarin Teacher

Ms. Wan holds a masters degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from The University of Hong Kong and has completed the PDGE program. Before joining Nord Anglia International School, she taught Mandarin for more than four years in Hong Kong’s international school across primary and middle year groups, including PYP, MYP, and IGCSE.

The goal of Ms. Wan’s teaching plans is for students to relate objectives to their own lives and to help them understand the Chinese language in a new way. She believes in enhancing students’ curiosity, encouraging them to think independently and teaching them how to collaborate with others. Ms. Wan is dedicated to collaborating with NAIS colleagues and to developing and implementing an effective curriculum to help ensure that all students achieve at a high level.

Outside of school, Ms. Wan enjoys reading books and attending workshops related to language learning. She also loves swimming and travelling.
