Drama Teacher & Sandringham D House Tutor

Miss Sweetman graduated from London South Bank University with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Drama and Performance Studies and was President of the University’s Dance Society. After completing her degree she was inspired to teach whilst working as an SEN and EAL teaching assistant in two inner-city London schools.

Miss Sweetman completed her PGCE in Performing Arts at Devon Secondary Teacher Training Group before returning to teach in Islington, London. Whilst there she directed and choreographed many  musical productions including Oliver!, We Will Rock You and Grease. She has also worked with Frantic Assembly, Complicite, GECKO, The Barbican, Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA and Shakespeare Schools Festival.

Miss Sweetman is passionate about Physical Theatre and Dance and recently completed training in New York with the Juilliard School of Performing Arts in 2018. As part of the Drama Department she is currently leading the Juilliard Dance Programme and extra-curricular provision for the school.

Miss Sweetman loves to visit the theatre in her spare time and regularly attends dance classes in Contemporary and Ballet. She is also a member of the Hong Kong Singers and the Hong Kong Women’s Choir.
