Year 6 student Scott wrote a lovely Student Voice and wanted to share it with our community his thoughts
I have really enjoyed working in Year 6. I feel like I have learned a lot for just 2 terms. BISH has completely changed me as a student and a person. I feel like my view on learning has completely changed since I was at my old school. BISH makes my learning a lot more fun than it used to be. I feel like BISH does not go for the classic way of learning where you just sit there while the teacher is talking about stuff that you don’t want to listen to. The favourite things that I have done this term are my Crime Scene Investigation and reading The London Eye Mystery. I really enjoyed this book because I love solving mysteries. The subject that I have improved in the most is IPC. I have done so much, like Champions for Change and the Crime Scene Investigation with the Entry Point and the Exit Point. My favourite part was the chromatography paper experiment and my own experiment. It was really fun. I also liked the fingerprint test. I loved how it all linked to the Crime Scene Investigation. I wrote a small moment about what I did on our holiday. I did three drafts in total and all the editing. It was really fun surprisingly. My favourite part was exploding the moment. When I did this in my writing it made my work a lot more interesting. On my Learning Reflection Conference day, I was super nervous, but I knew my parents wouldn’t judge but that didn’t help. It went brilliantly. I showed them my books and my PowerPoint that I prepared.
